Lynn Miller - Pastel
Lynn Fishbach Miller creates art in many ways. She is an award winning
pastelist, quilter, watercolorist, and also creates mosaics and painted
furniture. She loves new artistic challenges and clear bright colors as
reflected in murals she painted in Naples, FL.
Lynn has studied painting with private instructors since she was a child and
some of her happiest memories are of Saturday mornings spent in studios
which smelled of linseed oil and turpentine.
As an adult she has taken
workshops and classes with many artists, including Nicora Gangi, Mary
Padgett, Albert Handell, Doug Dawson, Robert Carsten, Desmond O’Hagan,
Jeanne Rosier Smith, Debora Stewart, Gail Sibley, Rita Kirkman, Gwynneth
Barth White, Lyn Asselta and Gary Trento.
Lynn earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with many fine art classes at the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a merchandising degree from
The Fashion Institute of Technology. She received her Master of Science
degree in Educational Communication from Syracuse University.
Lynn and
her husband Robert reside in Naples, Florida and spend summers in Syracuse,
NY.
“My favorite subjects are found in the natural world, landscapes from the
desert to the mountains to the ocean; still life compositions of food, wine
and interesting collectibles; sunsets, animals and close ups of flowers.
Pretty much all subjects. Most recently I am enjoying painting abstracts.”
Lynn is an active member of the Southwest Florida Pastel Society having
served as its immediate past President.
Her work can be seen at Art2Amaze Studio and Gallery located at 6210
Shirley Street #108, Naples Florida.
