Wendy Wagner is an artist who finds truth and inspiration through realism. Her aim is to strive for honesty~ to portray what is sincere, felt, poetic.
Through portraiture, her goal is to capture the essence of the sitter, either with red chalk, or oil paint.
Wendy has been recognized by both the Portrait Society of America and the Art Renewal Center. She teaches online and in person.
Wendy began her art training at Moore College of Art & Design, where she earned a BFA in Painting. Eventually searching for an atelier program, she found Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia. After graduating in 2017, she continued on fellowship before transitioning into a teacher. She has taken workshops with Steven Assael, Jon DeMartin, Hollis Dunlap, Amaya Gurpide, Dan Thompson, & Nicolas Uribe.
Her work has been shown in New York, Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Florida, and is in various private collections.
